Best Fostex above 1200-1800kHz?

I am planning to use a Fostex or any other better FR driver from 1.2 to 1.8 kHz up to 20K or what is available.  So which are your experiences the best sounding Fostex on that range?

Why are you bringing it in so high?  IMO, the best thing about Fostex drivers is their midrange.

playing with an active crossover 24db/octave, I perferred 200hz as the crossover point for keeping the voice in the full ranger, even better than 300hz.................

I suppose it is up to the individual's tastes depending on playback db level and music selection.

Re: Best Fostex above 1200-1800kHz?

There is a 12" OB midbass (below that a 15 in in an H frame) that covers the range from 100-1.8K.  The fostex could not give the SPL and dynamics I am looking for, when used in that range or even above 200.  The 12" is covering almost the whole voice range with very good dynamics and efficiency.

The fostex tweeter ft48d seems to go down pretty low.

But still, if one where to choose a fullranger from fostex, which would be the best one?

At that high of an XO, I would look for a good tweeter, not a FR.

Have you seen this:

IMO, the FE108ESigma is the best if no very low frequency duties are required.
The FF85K has been reported to sound good, but I haven't ever heard one.
For both of them, with that frequency range of 2K+ you would be wasting what's their best ability: mids.
